On the last day of Klafferkessel - Three-day tour we walk leisurely in about 1.5 - 2 hours from the hut Preintalerhütte down past lake - Riesachsee and then back to starting point at the inn - Gasthaus Zum Riesachfall. At the beginning we follow about one kilometer the hiking trail Nr.777 and then the gravel road. Until Riesachsee on 1.338m which starts at Km 3, there are some beautiful huts and a little high moorland.

On the way there are two huts. 1. Kaltenbachalm at the begin of the lake Riesachsee. 2. The hut Upper Gfölleralm immediately after Riesachsee. The best view of the 17ha large Riesachsee you can enjoy in the area of the Upper Gfölleralm. From the Upper Gfölleralm back to the starting point there are two possibilities. The gravel road, or the very interesting alpine trail – Alpinstein Höll next to the waterfall - Riesachfall. The Riesachfall is the longest waterfall in Styria and the in the trail through the gorge was built as an added attraction, a 50m long cable-stayed bridge.
