On the 5.9 km long circular hiking trail we go around the largest low-and high marsh in the eastern section of the mountains – Kalkalpen. Along the entire route there are interactive stations, and educational boards. You get a lot of interesting information about the genesis of the pasture -Wurzeralm about 2 million years ago and you’ll hike through the varied and colorful flora. With the exception of the last 100m before the lake - Brunnsteinersee this hike tour is also suitable for prams.

At the beginning we take the funicular up to the Wurzeralm. Very cozy we go up from a high of 808m in a few minutes to the mountain station at an altitude of 1.430m. At the top we go on a dirt road in a northeasterly direction down to the hut - Filzmoosalm. After about 3 km we turn right and walk 600 meters and 50 vertical meters up to the lovely, little lake Brunnsteinersee. The small lake is home of endangered newts and salamanders. It is also the origin of the stream - Teichl that flows from their through the Moore. The last two kilometers we go slightly above the Teichlboden again on the gravel past the cabin - Linzerhaus to the mountain station - Wurzeralm. At the mountain restaurant we make a break on the sun terrace and enjoy the magnificent views. At last we take the funicular back down to the valley.
