The Gorge - Dr. Vogelgesang Klamm is the second longest gorge in Austria and is located in the Upper Austrian town – Spital am Pyhrn. The gorge is about 1,500 meters long and leads from Spital am Pyhrn towards the hut - Bosruckhütte. The gorge with the many stairs and bridges was opened first time in the year 1906. The original name "Fallbachklamm" was changed to honor the Dr. Moritz Vogelgesang, who has suggested as chairman of the Alpine Club section of the construction of the gorge, to Dr. Vogelgesang Klamm (Birdsong Gorge). Every year more than 30.000 people visit the Dr. Vogelgesang Klamm in Spital am Pyhrn.

From the parking lot at the power station, we walk a few hundred meters to the entrance and the beginning of Dr. Vogelgesang Gorge. On the way through the gorge you can see very well the many romantic, small waterfalls since the 500 steps and walkways are not too high above the little river - Trattenbach. After about 2 kilometers and 290 altimeters we reach the end of the gorge and then we walk 800m on the road with little traffic to the very well managed hut - Bosruckhütte.
As for the little childrens the way back through the Dr. Vogelgesang Gorge because of high levels is not so simple, we are hiking down first on the street and then through the forest to the starting point.
