 3 Country Bike Ride    86,9 km / 1.810 m

The very beautiful nearly 87 km long cycling tour through the three Austrian provinces of Styria, Upper Austria and Lower Austria has no long difficult climbs. Only on the 10 km long ride on the Promau you have to overcome 350 vertical meters. Of particular interest are the sections between km 17 and km 54 – Kleinreifling, Weyer, Hollenstein an der Ybbs and Lassing.

 Attersee     47,1 km / 185 m

The 47 km long bicycle tour Attersee leads on streets with not much traffic around one of the most picturesque lakes in the Salzkammergut. Depending on the parking, the tour will be launched from anywhere around the lake. All roads are paved and which are ideally suited for road bikes.

 Carinthia lakes    155 km / 1.550 m

The Carinthian lakes bike tour, I'm gone during the Carinthian Lakes Cycling Marathon in austria. By Keutschach near the lake Wörthersee up to Bad Kleinkirchheim - Feldkirchen - Ossiachersee - Villach and back to the Wörthersee. On the bike tour in Carinthia there are many small, but no major climbs. The road to Bad Kleinkirchheim has only an average of 5-8%.

 Dachstein    167 km / 2.172 m

One of the most beautiful bike tours around the Dachstein, the highest mountain in Styria. You drive on this bike ride through the 3 provinces of Styria, Salzburg and Upper Austria. The Dachstein, Hallstatt and the Salzkammergut region belong to the world heritage of UNESCO. Even the Ennstal in Styria and the Pongau in Salzburg are beautiful. It contains no great passes. This makes the Dachstein bike for less-trained amateur cyclists very interesting.

 Donnersbachwald - Donnersbach

The villages Donnersbach and Donnersbachwald located in a beautiful valley in Ennstal - Liezen - Styria. The Planneralm cycling tour begins in Donnersbach and with 910m altidute at 12 kilometers is the Planneralm Bike tour an exhausting bike ride with a finish like on the mountain in the Tour de France. The bicycle tour to Donnersbachwald other hand, is much lighter and suitable for every cyclist.

Planneralm 12 Km / 910 m            Donnersbachwald  22 Km / 416m

 Edelweißspitze - Glockner    1,6 km / 161 m

The Edelweißspitze bike tour begins at the restaurant Fuschertörl in 2410m and ends on 2571m. The road to Edelweißspitze is mostly paved. The Edelweißspitze is the highest point on the Großglockner High Alpine Road. The Edelweißspitze bike tour you drive following the Fuschertörl bike tour. That makes the whole thing very difficult and challenging.

 Enns Cycle Path

The Enns Cycle Path is one of Austria's most famous cycling tours. He leads the cyclists of Salzburg, through the Enns Valley and Gesäuse in Styria and Upper Austria to the Danube. Here you pass the interesting regions: Salzburg Sports World, Dachstein Tauern, Enns Grimming, National Park Gesäuse and the Limestone Alps National Park. In addition to the description of the entire route in both directions, I have divided the Enns Cycle Path in 5 stages. The stages have a length of 35 to 70 kilometers.

 Fuschertörl - Glockner    27 km / 1.663 m

The Fuschertörl bike tour is a very serious Alpine stage on one of the most beautiful mountain passes in Austria. The first 10 kilometers of Bruck on the Glocknerstraße be relatively flat. The second section of the Fuschertörl bike ride along the Grossglockner High Alpine Road is 17 km long and up to 12% steep.

From the Lake Fuschl and Lake Wolfgang on the way back past at the Lake Mondsee this tour offers three of the most beautiful lakes in the Salzkammergut.

 Gesäuse       104 Km / 1.281 m

A bike tour without long, difficult climbs. But with many short climbs, the Gesäuse bike tour has also a total difference in altitude of 1281 m. The Gesäuse is known for its wonderful scenery and a popular hiking, cycling and recreational area, even on sunny days, several motorcycle ride through the Gesäuse - Styria - Austria.

 Gmunden      106,7 Km / 1.127 m

The very nice trip in the region Salzkammergut on the lakes Attersee and Traunsee has a length of 95.7 Km. Who wants to look after the return to Gmunden on the Salzkammergut Cycle Path R2 nor the eastern shore of Lake Traunsee to the landing at the inn Hoisn drives additional 11 very beautiful kilometers. Because of the very hilly landscape in the first section of Traunsee to Attersee and along  the Attersee to Unterach am Attersee this bike tour has a total of 1172 vertical meters. Up to a 250m long dirt track in Altenberg (Attersee), the bike tour is fully paved. This is even with the road bike a highly recommended tour if you want to avoid the main roads.

 Grimming     48 Km / 447 m

The bike tour around the Grimming in the Styrian Enns Valley and the southern edge of the Salzkammergut - Ausseerland is 48 kilometers long and is with 447 Altimeter not so difficult. Between Trautenfels and Klachau / Tauplitz located with the "Old Klachau" a short but challenging climb. Along the Salzastausee you need to move your road bike because of the many stones on the street. Mountainbiker should also drive carefully.

 Hengstpass    150 Km / 2.075 m

Long and heavy bike ride in Styria and Upper Austria. For serious cyclists and recreational cyclists with enough condition! Pyhrnpass, Hengstpass are not difficult, but in the last third one drives over the Kaiserau. From Admont to Kaiserau the bike tour is difficult, and seven kilometers long.

 Hinterstoder    75 Km / 1.488 m

In Windischgarsten ( Upper Austria ) starts the Stodertal Bike tour and then runs over Roßleithen and Vorderstoder into the beautiful landscaped Stodertal to Hinterstoder and Hinterberg - District Kirchdorf an der Krems. The highest mountains in the Dead Mountains - Totes Gebirge (for example, Großer Priel 2.514m and Spitzmauer 2.446m) are very impressive. The bike Stodertal can also be adapted very well to the individual condition.

 Hochtor - Glockner     6 km / 242 Hm

This description of the bike ride on the Hochtor begins at Fuschertörl. From Fuschertörl to Fuscherlacke you drive 2 bends down and then the Glockner Road rises to the Hochtor to 2.510m.

 Kaiserau     61 Km / 958 m

The Kaiserau bicycle tour is in the ascent from Admont to Kaiserau, a real challenge. Good training run to prepare for a cycling marathon, or if you only have 3-4 hours of time and would like to take a nice cycling tour in the heart of Styria.

  Kleinsölk    27,8 Km / 453 m

The moderate styrian bicycle tour Kleinsölk starts in Stein an der Enns. The Tour leads into the scenically very interesting Naturepark Sölk. As the road in the valley Kleinsölk isn’t a road into an another valley, is the level of traffic very low.

  Loser    16 Km / 957 m

As with 10% gradient over 8 kilometers, the Loser bike ride on the scenic road is a challenging bike ride. The road is south facing and as above, no trees are present, it is very warm on sunny days. On the Loser bicycle there is a fabulous views of the Styrian Salzkammergut and an unforgettable view of the Dachstein - the highest mountain and glacier in Styria.

 Mondsee   25,7 km / 65 m

The bike ride around Lake Mondsee is because of the wonderful scenery, the length of 25.7 km and only 65 vertical meters the most family-friendly bike ride in the region Mondsee. The bike ride is very well signposted as “Salzkammergut Cycle Path R2”. The lake Mondsee is situated in Upper Austria's Salzkammergut. The south shore forms the border between Upper Austria and Salzburg. With a length of 11 km and a maximum width of 1.5 km the lake Mondsee area is 14.2 km ².

 Neusiedlersee    125 km / 656 m

In the west of the Neusiedlersee are the last hills of the alps - Leitha Mountains and in the east begins the Puszta area in Hungary.

 Nockalm - Turracherhöhe        98 km /2.789 m

The Nockalm bike tour begins with the Turracherhöhe and then will continue on the road Nockalmstraße to Innerkrems. Return to the starting point in Predlitz you'll cycle up to the saddle "Schönfeld" and through the Thomatal. Not the longest but because of the 4 major climbs one of the most strenuous cycling tours. The landscape on the Nockalm Bike Tour is very nice, because they are located in the National nature reserve Nockberge.

 Oppenberg     58 Km / 1.069 m

Demanding and scenic beautiful bike ride in Upper Styria. Especially the low traffic increases the relaxation factor of this bike tour. Glorious is the scenery on this bike ride from Oppenberg after Gulling and back again over Vorberg to Aigen im Ennstal - Region Liezen - Styria - Austria.

 Plabutsch       22,3 Km / 195 m

There are many good starting points for the short bike ride around the Plabutsch in Graz. Especially nice is the view from the hill “Buchkogel” on Graz and a longer break at the little lake Thalersee. In the district of Graz - Eggenberg you could also visit the beautiful castle Eggenberg, located right on the bike ride. The castle Eggenberg has the largest baroque park in Styria.

 Postalm     90 Km / 1.528 m

The Postalm cycling tour in the austrian states Upper Austria and Salzburg is a very beautiful tour in the region Salzkammergut. From Bad Goisern you'll drive to Bad Ischl, Wolfgangsee, Postalm, Gosau and Hallstättersee. Most roads on the biketour Postalm are with little traffic. The road over the Postalm it is also a toll road. Along the tour there are always great views and good places for a rest in the beautiful Salzkammergut.

The Pöllautal is a landscape protection area in eastern Styria with an area of 122 square kilometers and consists of the municipalities Pöllau, Pöllauberg, Rabenwald, Schönegg, and Sonnhofen Saifenboden. The hilly landscape of forests, meadows, fields and many fruit trees offers plenty of variety, beautiful views and wonderful places to stay for nature lovers. The Pöllauertal offers many opportunities for physical activity. In addition to cycling and mountain biking, these are fishing, bowling, running, Nordic walking, hiking, riding, swimming, curling, tennis, ice skating, cross country skiing, winter hiking and tobogganing.  Saalbach Hinterglemm          64 km/ 523 m

Easy bike ride from Bruck an der Glocknerstraße about Zell am See to Saalbach Hinterglemm. No big climbs, but always rising evenly. On average, only 1.7 percent. A perfect tour to the Glocknerkönig race, or a bike ride to the Glockner with Fuschertörl and Hochtor.

 Salzkammergut 4 Lakes         134 km / 1.217 m

The bike tour with the 4 lakes in the picturesque Salzkammergut is one of the best cycling tours I've ever driven. Beautiful streets, lakes, good air, gorgeous scenery and good weather. All the ingredients for the perfect day in the life of a cyclist.

 Salzkammergut Cycle Path - Mondsee    97,8 km / 918 m

This bike ride on the Salzkammergut Cycle Path R2 leads us first from the lake Mondsee to the lake Irrsee. Next it goes on the 97.8 km long loop through the beautiful Austrian region Salzkammergut to Straßwalchen and then to the next lake Mattsee. There we drive between the lakes Mattsee, the Grabensee and the Obertrumer See and then to the outskirts of Salzburg. The bike tour leads us also to Eugendorf, Thalgau and then in the end we come back to Mondsee. With very few exceptions, the entire Salzkammergut cycle path R2 runs always on paved roads with very little traffic. There are no long, hard climbs, so this bike tour is suitable for anyone who has the appropriate stamina.

 Schladming Tauern        155 km /2.730 m

Two great passes are included in this cycling tour. First, the Sölkpass with 1.790 m in the nature reserve park Sölktal and then the Radstätter Tauernpass with 1.730 m in the popular winter resort of Obertauern. The final part of the Schladming Tauern bike tour through the Ennstal valley is no more demanding but also very beautiful.

 Schöckl - Graz        41 km / 1.025 m

The 40km long Schöckl Biketour begins in Graz and through Stattegg you'll bike up to the hill Leber (max 28% !) after Semriach. Around the mountain Schöckl then it goes back to Graz. From Semriach there are not many vantage points where you can see far into the Grazer Mountains. There are with Mühlreith, Kreuzberg and Rinnegg some very interesting, lovely villages on the Schöckl Biketour.

 Sölkpaß      ca. 160 Km

Very heavy and long bike ride. Especially in the scenic Sölkpass Stein is from both sides in the last 4 miles to the pass a major criterion. I also have really enjoyed the stretch from St. Peter to Oberwölz and by Lachtal because there only a few cars are gone.

 Stoderzinken   16 km / 1.163 m

As hard as the Sölkpaß bike tour. But a mountain top finish with much less traffic. Dreamlike beautiful landscape, winding road and good vantage points to make the bike ride at Stoderzinken Gröbming in Upper Styria, a special experience.

 Tauplitzalm  10 km / 849 m

Challenging bike ride on the Alpine Road Tauplitzalm beginning in Bad Mitterndorf to Tauplitzalm. Cyclists do not pay the toll and do not have much traffic. Beautiful walks, and cross country skiing in winter can be done with the whole family, on the plateau of the Tauplitzalm in Styria - Austria.

 Totes Gebirge     206 Km / 2.144 m

The bicycle tour around the Dead Mountains in Upper Styria and Upper Austria has no passes wich is higher than 1.000m, but the small increases have also 2.144 meters in altitude. Due to the length of 206 kilometers, it is clearly assessed for amateur rider with the degree of difficulty of 5 +. As a reward for all the effort, the cyclists will find a variety of attractions. For Example - Grimming, Ausseerland, UNESCO Natural Heritage Region Hallstatt, Bad Goisern, Bad Ischl, Traunsee, Gmunden and the views of the mountains of the Kalkalpen National Park.

 Wildon cycling marathon     166 km / 1.385 m

The largest cycling marathon in Austria. About 6000 participants over 7 tours. Very good organization. The track was perfectly covered with signs, stewards and police. The entry fee is not overpriced and next to the jersey you got a few souvenirs. A bike marathon for the whole family because the family route is 33 km long and has no hills.

 Wine road tour south styria

The South Styrian Wine Road is the oldest and most known of the eight wine routes in Styria. At these wine routes are the most wineries of the three wine regions of Southern Styria, West Styria and South East Styria. Wine connoisseurs and tourists can get to know all the important wine-growing villages, with its diversity of landscape very well. Along the wine roads are many wine taverns, where you can eat regional specialties and drink some very good wines. In addition to the wine raod tour with 72 kilometers, you can divide the styrian wine road tour in the northern variant with 50 kilometers and in the southern variant with 31 km.
