The last stage on the Enns cycle path towards Flachau start in the Ski World Cup town of Schladming. The final day offers 46.4 kilometers and 628 vertical meters. But it is not difficult, because the last 300 vertical meters from Flachau to Flachauwinkel is split very comfortably in 12 kilometers. This is an average gradient of only 2.5%.

On the main square in Schladming we start the bike tour and drive about 2 km in a westerly direction along the now little river - Enns. Then starts a very nice bike path next to the Enns. Until Mandling the Enns cycle path is with the exception of two short gravel roads (about 1000m and 700m) paved and well marked. From Mandling we are now in the province of Salzburg and go on an 8-kilometer-long gravel road up to Radstadt. Since we are already set off early in the morning, we have enough time for the 2 km-long trip to the very interesting town center in Radstadt. Even the 14 kilometers to Flachau are with an average gradient of less than 1% still very easy. Only a short piece of the cycle path in Altenmarkt is not paved. You’ll always drive there on small roads with little traffic through the meadows.

Unlike in the opposite direction, we remain on the Enns cycle path and drive around the center of Altenmarkt. On some local roads, we reach after 34 kilometers, the well-known winter sports resort Flachau. Even after Flachauwinkel we drive a very long time on the nice bike path. Only the last 5 kilometers the tour leads on the road with not much traffic. Unfortunately, the hut – Gasthofalm at the end of the Enns cycle path is because of the highway not managed. And so we go back a few kilometers to Flachu and stop at one of the many great inns.
