The 44-kilometer long mtb - tour Reiteralm (signed well as official MTB - Tour "Reiteralmrunde") leads from Schladming - Pichl - Preunegg - Reiteralm - Preunegg - Rohrmoos and back to Schladming. Predominance of the sections with paved roads. On the Reiteralm the MTB Tour Reiteralm offers two good huts, a small lake and a magnificent view of the Dachstein and the Enns valley. At the end of the tour, there is a very interesting route in and around the Talbach between Rohrmoos and Schladming. The signs of MTB - Tour Reiteralm Runde starts in Schladming at the valley station of the Planai. Another possibility for a good parking would be 500m away the parking center (red marking on the Google Map). From the parking center could also turn immediately left onto the "Erzherzog Johann Street". Who will start at the valley stadium of the ski area Planai drive at the first roundabout after 100m straight ahead and the after 100m before the school turn right. At the next intersection you turn left into the "Erzherzog Johann Street" and then about 1 km long, straight over the bridge and a roundabout to the railway station in Schladming. At the station, the tour takes 100m left in a southerly direction and then one must turn right and then continue on the Enns Cycle Path R7. After crossing the Maistatt bike bridge, turn right and follow the bike path Ennstal to Km 6.8. This section is only very slightly uphill and is great to warm up. In Pichl begins the 12 km long Reiteralm road. The average slope is 8%. On the pasture Reiteralm are two cabins - Gasselhöh hut, Reiteralm hut and a little, nice lake Reiteralmsee . The road to Reiteralm up has a few short flat sections but also a couple of pitches with about 15%. 3 km after Pichl, turn shortly after the Inn Bankwirt right onto the Reiteralm toll road. The road surface changes a few times between asphalt and gravel. Passing the mountain village Reiteralm and the numerous ski lifts and slopes you'll reach the lake Reiteralmsee at 1750m at km 19. At the reservoir lake or the two beautiful huts Reiteralm hut and Gasselhöh hut you'll have a grandiose panorama of the Dachstein glacier and the Enns valley during the wonderful break. Then we drive on the same road back down to Preunegg and bends at the intersection near the inn "Bankwirt" right to Preunegg valley. After 2.5 km you follow the signs before the toll gate and turn left over the bridge on the opposite side valley and bike towards Rohrmoos. At kilometer 33 begins a slight 6% gradient of about 95 altimeter. There we have again a wonderful view of the Dachstein. After this climb on the "Höhenberg road" turn left down on the Rohrmoos road. Approximately 800m after the valley station of the "Hochwurzenbahnen" the MTB - Tour Reiteralm turn left on a dirt road. First, slightly uphill, follow the very good signs at the base station of the Sun Jet towards "Obertal". After having turned on the Untertal road you drive down to the fire station and then turn left to the gorge "Talbach". Along the gorge Talbach you drive back down to Schladming. In the section Talbach because of the many walkers and pedestrians pass considerate. The wide path next to the small river Talbach has a few small water crossings and you should watch out for some gutters. |

The city Schladming is located in the upper Ennstal - Styria - Austria, has about 4,400 inhabitants and an area of only 10.3 square kilometers.
