The Spechtensee MTB Tour is one of the best tours in the district Liezen / Enns Valley. The Spechtensee is located north of Wörschach in a beautiful side valley of the Enns valley near the beautiful mountain Grimming and on the border to Ausseerland - Salzkammergut. The MTB - Tour of the Spechtensee between Wörschach and Tauplitz is also part of the Alps Tour Austria, and therefore very well signposted.
In the first 3km of Wörschach to Spechtensee you have multiple gradients of 10-20% before you. It is a very good gravel road without a lot of loose split. The Spechtensee has a very quiet location. Ideal for those who seek some tranquility. In Spechtenseehütte you can safely eat something, because after Wörschachwald you have only a few meters to cope. In midsummer, you can also swim in the lake Spechtensee very well. Since the large 4ha bog lake has only a depth of 10m, he has in the summer often water temperatures just above 20 degrees.
From Wörschachwald you drive on the Mountain - Tour Spechtensee back down to Tauplitz. Upon departure, you should stop once to enjoy that fantastic view to the east side of the mountain Grimming and the region Ausseerland. It's on the Mountain - Tour Spechtensee also the best opportunity for pictures and photos. |
