After starting in Annaberg 766m we ride on the main road 3.5 km towards Lungötz and then you have to turn left into the valley - Neubachtal. There it goes on a one-lane, paved road slightly uphill until km 7.1. Together with the mountain bikers who are biking on the MTB Dachsteinrunde you’ll drive up on a gravel road to the saddle - Prombergsattel 1.060m.

We opted for the sporty and scenic more attractive version Mahdalm / Loseggalm of the MTB Kresl round. The driveway to the huts - Mahdalm and Loseggalm is permitted from 01 May to 15 November in time 2 hours after sunrise and one hour before sunset. Who has little time and wants only bike up to Mahdalm or Loseggalm, has the possibility to drive up by car along the green line in the Google Map to the hikers parking 1.126m. The approximately 8% steep gravel road to Loseggalm 1.460m is 5.5 km long. In the fresh mountain air and amidst the beautiful mountains of Gosaukamm and Bischofsmütze, the mountain cheese, the country bread, pastries, drinks and other homemade products taste very well. The 400 year old hut has space for 20 - 30 people, the best view you have of course at the wooden tables around the lodge. To the next hut - Mahdalm 1.539m we drove first the same route back about 700m and then 75 vertical meters up to the second stop. From the terrace we have a splendid panoramic view over large parts of the mountains in Salzburg. Again only regional products are served. Recommended are especially the magnificent cheese dumpling soup, an alpine snack and the delicious desserts.

After the descent back to Prombergsattel we continue the tour on the Kresl round, along the MTB Dachsteinrunde Blue on a 2.5 km long gravel road. At 25.6 km, we drive through the alpine village of Dachstein West and a short time later at the valley station of the cable car - Donnerkogelbahn further down the valley and finally back to Annaberg.
