 The starting point for those with "Fageralm Route 09" well-marked, moderately difficult mountain bike tour on the Fageralm is Radstadt. Radstadt is a town with about 5000 inhabitants in the Austrian province of Salzburg. It is also called the "old town in the mountains" and is well known as a very good winter resort. The first 6 km are paved and then a 6.7 km long and beautiful gravel road leads past the also managed hut Lechneralm to the Trinkeralm to 1.755m. There are no particularly steep sections, and no single-track trails. You can bike on the Fageralm route 1.May until 15.November 2 hours after sunrise and 1 hour before the sunset. Only on the downhill you have to watch, because some cars drive up to inn Trinkeralm and to brake on the loose gravel when you drive too fast could be a problem. Please also be special consideration if you're bike past the grazing cattle.

  
From the main square in Radstadt you drive to the east past the station and then subsequently to the south. After a 200m long section on the Tauern road turn left at the roundabout towards Forstau. Then until to the Mooshöhe in 3,4km the road have an average gradient of 8%. At km 5 is the info panel and there you have to turn to the right. 200m after the country house Kurzenhof the Fageralm MTB tour turn to the right on the 6.7 km long gravel road. The average slope to Km 10.5 at the hut Lechneralm is around 10%. Then there are some flatter sections. After 12.8 km you reach the inn Trinkeralm at an altitude of 1.755m. There is next to the sunny terrace a fantastic view of the mountains Dachstein, Bischofsmütze, Gosaukamm and the valley Ennstal. In the same way you drive on the Fageralm MTB tour back to Radstadt. To see more of the lovely town Radstadt you go straight at the roundabout after the downhill from Forstau to Radstadt.

    
In winter, the Fageralm is a very popular ski resort. The small alpine village Trinkeralm with the inn and the self-catering chalets situated on a plateau right on the slopes of the Fageralm. In summer, the alpine village at the Fageralm is not only the finish of this beautiful mountain bike tour, but also an ideal starting point for some lovely walks like Mitterfager 50min and in about an hour you reach the mountain Hinterer Fager 1.967m.
