Best you start to this beautiful and sometimes technically challenging MTB - Tour of the Mitterberg at the tennis center in Liezen (on the Google Map marked with P).
Between the two orange markers on the Google Map the mtb - tour is also a section of the Alps Tour Austria through Styria by the Mitterberg near Liezen and at the castle Strechau.

The first part of the increase on the Mitterberg to the inn Mitterberghütte (870 meters) you drive on a one-lane, paved road.
The first 1.7 km of which have a gradient of 14%.
At the restaurant "Mitterberghütte" the mountain bike tour is really going on. The turn-off on the steep forest is located a few meters after the Mitterberghütte. The first 100m have a slope of 25% and the forest road is not very good, so that amateur cyclists have to fight very nice to not dismount.
After a short flat section follows a 15% steep forest road again.
If you have done this first hurdle, you bike on this MTB tour a little bit easier. With the exception of a 30m short, steep descent. Technically not as experienced mountain bikers should follow the warning sign and must descend. Most of the time you drive through the forest and there is only one really good vantage point to Liezen and Selzthal. Even a few short single tracks were on this section of the Alps mtb tour installed.

Who would shorten the mtb - tour may drive by Neusiedl, past the football field, just go directly to Lassing. (Orange line in the Google Map).

The signs of the Alps Tour is exemplary and only twice a bit confusing (red dots in the Google Map). Only in Lassing at the local exit, you should know that you have to turn right and should not go straight to the football field. And in the downhill at the castle Strechau comes by a fork, where you should take the left path.
This single track is a few yards slightly uphill and then in an interesting, technically, challenging descent down the trail.
As the trail is steep (up to 20%), rocky, be careful on some tree roots, especially in wet conditions please slow down the speed. Moreover, this is the path to the castle Strechau up and you have to take the hiker into consideration.
Uphill, it represents an alpine tour a special challenge, but is beatable for the majority of mountain bikers.
Back to Liezen you drive on the road to Selzthal and then to the Enns valley bike path R7.
Since there are on the final leg of this beautiful mountain bike ride in Enns valley no inclines more, you can enjoy the scenery.

The Ennsvalley is in the middle of Austria and was named after the largest river in the valley. The Enns is a 254 kilometers long tributary of the Danube. It rises in the province of Salzburg in the Radstätter Tauern. From Salzburg the Enns flows eastwards through Styria. Between Admont and Hieflau in Upper Styria, the Enns breaks through a narrow valley - the Gesäuse in the Ennstal Alps before it flows north to Upper Austria. In the last section is the Enns, the boundary between Upper and Lower Austria. Between the villages of Mauthausen and Enns empties the Enns, as 100m wide river, into the Danube.

The Ennsvalley is one of the major valleys in Austria, and forms the geological boundary between the Northern Limestone Alps and the Central Alps south of the river Enns. The mountains of the northern Limestone Alps are often very steep and less forested than the south of the Central gentler mountains are more accessible for hikers. Where the mountains from east to west are becoming increasingly burdensome. The upper Ennsvalley at the border between the Austrian provinces of Salzburg and Styria, the Enns river flows south past the Dachstein glacier. The Dachstein 2.995m is the highest mountain in Styria. The people in the Ennsvalley live mainly from tourism and agriculture.

The largest alpine winter sports region can be found around Schladming, Dachstein-Tauern-region. Who the mass tourism is not so wish, you can resort to the small ski areas further east, such as in Gröbming (Stoderzinken) Donnersbach (Planneralm Riesneralm) and Admont (Kaiserau). Beautiful country skiing areas are available in Ramsau am Dachstein, Tauplitzalm, Liezen / Pyhrn Admont / Kaiserau. This provides the upper and middle Ennstal for ski touring, snowshoe hiking, or simply seeking relaxation many wonderful tours and lonely remote valleys.

In the spring, summer and autumn there are many hiking trails, bike trails and mountain bike tours in the Ennsvalley. The Ennsvalley is thus a wonderful holiday destination for skiers, snowboarders, ski mountaineers, skiers and those seeking relaxation in the winter, and many tourists come in summer, at the Enns valley to hiking, climbing, mountaineering, mountain biking and exploring by bicycle on one of the many cycling the beautiful Alpine area . The Gesäuse is popular with rafting and kayaking. In the Ennsvalley, many protected areas were created. Such as "Naturpark Sölktäler", Gesaeuse National Park and the Limestone Alps National Park.
