Menorca is the easternmost and second largest of the Balearic Islands belonging to Spain. On the 694km² island in the Mediterranean life about 94.000 people. About 30.000 in the capital Maò. The 50 km long island is divided in two regions. The mountainous north, the Tramuntana, and the hilly south region Migjorn. The highest point on Menorca is the 357m high mountain Monte Toro. The airport is located 3km south of Maò. The official languages ​​are Catalan and Spanish.
