Livecam Portoroz

 Portoroz is located on the Slovenian coast and is part of the municipality of Piran. At the "Slovenian Riviera" live about 2,800 inhabitants. Unlike Piran Portoroz has no historic old town. The townscape is dominated by the two large hotel complexes LifeClass Hotels & Spa and St. Bernardin hotels, the casino and the marina. In addition to the small artificial sandy beach in the center, there is only the thermal baths in the hotel. Since 1961, occur in the Exhibition Park "Forma Viva" on the ridge of the Seca Peninsula stone sculptures.

Portorož is a health resort since the 13th century. The Benedictines from the monastery of St. Lorenz cured their patients with seawater. Particularly in the case of rheumatoid arthritis and in wound healing can thus achieve significant improvements today. Until the collapse of the Venetian Republic at the end of the 18th century Portorož was under Venetian rule and then by the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which collapsed at the end of the 1st World War. Only from 1806 to 1813 was Porotorž under French rule.
