The community of Seefeld in Tyrol has about 3.000 inhabitants and lies in the district Innsbruck-Land. The Inn is a 517 km long tributary of the river Danube and arises from the Maloja Pass in Switzerland. Under the Swiss region Engadin, the river Inn flows through the Austrian state of Tyrol. In the middle of the River Inn is located between Kufstein and Erl, and Braunau and Passau, the border between Austria and Germany. In Passau the Inn then opens with a mean river discharge of 740 m³ / s in the Danube. In the Austrian state of Tyrol the Inn Valley is divided to Innsbruck in the Upper Inn Valley and from Innsbruck in the Lower Inn Valley.
